Learning from Europe | Print |
Per Paludan Hansen   | 29.09.2011 | European Affairs - Comments

Per Paludan HansenComment by Per Paludan Hansen, chairman of Danish Adult Education Association, member of the board of the European Association for the Education of Adults.

The Danish Adult Education Association has participated in the work of InfoNet for more than 4 years. During the second period we have been a partner organisation.

For me the need for informing, debating and learning across the borders of Europe in the field of adult education is obvious. I think InfoNet has done a great job to promote this by building a comprehensive database of articles and by publishing the thematic issues of InfoLetter.

Learning from other adult educators in Europe is extremely useful. Especially it helps us realize the limits of our own experience and our opportunities for innovation.

I have been looking forward to continue our participation in InfoNet and helping it expand, improve quality further and become even more European. Therefore I have been very disappointed by learning that the European Commission did not approve the latest application for funding.

I sincerely hope that together with the partners of InfoNet and with new partners we will be able to continue and re-establish the InfoNet in one way or the other.
