Doris Pack: Beneficial projects have to be continually financed! PDF  | Drucken |
Michael Sommer   | 06.10.2010 | European Affairs - News items [en]

In her speech during a conference on the 10th anniversary of the Grundtvig programme, Doris Pack, Correspondent for Adult Education and Chairwoman of the Education and Culture Committee in the European Parliament, expressly highlighted the InfoNet project.

The German politician said that beneficial projects, such as InfoNet for example, must also have funding prospects for when the project is finished. “So many things work well and they must be continually financed,” said the German politician, viewed as “Mother of the Grundtvig programme” as she politically adopted it in its existing form.

Adult education is not the top priority on the political agenda in Europe; however, it is needed in order to overcome crises. She appealed to the 300 or so conference participants in Copenhagen to cooperate and jointly campaign for their cause – with scientific studies for example: “Money for adult education is beneficial money!”
