The BAEA, Becoming Adult Educators in the European Area is a transnational project which is aimed at analyzing processes of professional qualification and identity building among adult educators to be.
Activities of the BAEA involve the provision of opportunities for a dialogue and information exchange between researchers, practitioners in the field of adult education and training and policy makers. Additionally, at the initial phase of the project, four national reports will be produced that give an overview on existing opportunities for education and training for adult educators as well as policy analyses on how these opportunities are shaped. These national reports will be put together into a comparative synthesis report. Furthermore, the national reports will serve as a basis for the Delphi study report. At the end of the project, both, Delphi as well as the synthesis report will be merged into a Handbook for adult educators.
The BAEA – Becoming Adult Educators in the European Area is a multilateral project funded by the European Commission through Grundtvig. The Budget of the Network is EUR 294.121,00, in a period of 24 months from October 2009 until September 2011.
