Vienna (OTS). The first and unique adult education mile was brought to life throughout Austria in the middle of September. The education mile will be made visible in the darkness by various moving or stationary light projections.
In the future, the mile should draw attention to the educational and cultural facilities in the Viennese district of Margareten and promote a desire for education.
The education mile will be made visible in the darkness by various moving or stationary light projections. The adult education mile will encompass a total of ten different sized light projectors in public spaces. These will be mounted at intervals of approx. 160 metres.
For the starting shot on September 17th, the first large projector will commence operation in the course of the festivities surrounding the 20th anniversary of the "Filmcasino" arthouse cinema. Another eight small projectors will subsequently be mounted up to the middle of November 2009. An idea competition was carried out for the projections onto these locations by the master class of the Höheren Grafischen Bundes Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt Wien (higher graphic federal teaching and experimentation institution of Vienna). The commissioning of the last projector is planned for the spring of 2010.
