- 87 were trained through EGF funds and another 450 were trained by ETC
- 18 were assisted to start their own business
All above measures costed more than €637,000.

What type of training were they given?
- computer courses, effective customer care, beauty courses, business management training, basic writing, basic selling techniques, child care, food handling, literacy, private guards courses

How did the this training help?

On 13 September 2008, 65% of ex-Bortex and ex-VF employees were back in some other employment.

Occupational guidance enabled them to opt for new careers.

Training courses enabled them to improve their employability.

The redeployment scheme enabled them to obtain alternative employment.
