Malta: new training programmes in basic skills PDF  | Print |
Mary Gauci   | 03.03.2010 | National Affairs - News items
Malta has just embarked on two new projects nationwide. To achieve this objective the Employment and Training Corporation is in collaboration with a number of church and community institutions around the island whose task will be to provide training adequate facilities. On its part the ETC will offer training programmes in basic skills to Adults who would have for some reason or another failed in mainstream education.
Another similar initiative was initiated with the Young Offenders Rehabilitation Unit a centre responsible for the rehabilitation and assistance of young offenders. The ETC will be professionally assisting these youths by providing them with a number of training possibilities that would prepare them to reintegrate in the labour market.
